La Bollina

History
La Bollina is a modern and innovative winery in the Alto Monferrato, located in a wonderful estate, once owned by the Marquises Figari of Genoa, with a nineteenth-century liberty villa transformed into a luxury hotel, a large golf course, and immense chestnut woods. In this fascinating context, the vineyards extend for 28 hectares.
For the most part they are spread with Cortese, the native vine from which Gavi is obtained. The other cultivated varieties are Chardonnay, Nebbiolo, and Barbera. The vines are planted on predominantly clayey soils and they enjoy excellent exposure to the south and south-east.
