This white wine bursts with fresh scents of lemon zest, tropical fruit, wet stone minerality and hints of salt. It is a complex field blend, made of fruits picked from old vines in the Douro Valley region of northern Portugal. Among the 10 or more grape varieties used in this wine are Portuguese staples such as Rabigato, Códega and Donzelinho Branco.

Conceito Winery is led by the esteemed oenologist Rita Ferreira Marques. She is a Douro native who studied at Vila Real and Bordeaux and worked with world-renowned winemakers in California, New Zealand, and South Africa before returning home to northern Portugal. In the cellar and vineyards, she is assisted by winemaker Manuel Sapage and winegrower Nuno Fernandes, respectively.

On the palate, you can discover fruity notes of apple, pear, green plum and citrus rind. These are underpinned by rounder hints of butter, cream and tropical fruits. The wine spent 11 months ageing in oak barrels, granting a structural, woody outline. It is medium-bodied and has a robust texture in the mouth, hinting at its cellaring potential. It is an excellent match for oysters, any kind of Portuguese seafood, or chicken.
