Located in the Spanish town of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Señorío de San Vicente is a label owned by the Eguren family that includes only one wine. The project was born from the desire to recover an almost extinct variety of Tempranillo, making a single vineyard wine.

This splendid wine from the Rioja region is made with 100% Tempranillo Peludo (so-called due to the characteristic hair on the lower part of the leaf), an almost extinct variety native to Rioja Sonsierra. The grapes are selected and harvested manually from the 18 hectares Finca La Canoca vineyard which benefits from continental climatic influences and calcareous-clayey soils. After vinification, the finished wine rests for 20 months in oak barrels.

Senorio de San Vicente San Vicente has a garnet-toned color and an elegant and broad aromatic profile. On the nose, it reveals fragrant notes of red fruits and licorice, followed by toasted and balsamic hints. On the palate, it is tasty and concentrated, rounded and powerful. It is a very balanced wine with a good vein of freshness and a long and elegant finish that recalls light-toasted aromas. Try it with lamb or with medium-aged cheeses.
